Ordering & Shipping

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within Thailand. All orders ship from our roastery in Chiang Mai. International shipping is not yet available, but we're working on it.

How long does shipping take?

Orders within Chiang Mai typically arrive within 1–2 business days. Shipments to Bangkok and other provinces take 3–5 business days.

When are beans roasted?

We roast in small batches throughout the week. Most orders are roasted within 1–2 days of being placed, so your coffee arrives as fresh as possible.

Coffee & Products

What kind of coffee do you sell?

We offer specialty-grade single origin coffees and blends sourced from farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Indonesia. All beans are roasted in-house at our Chiang Mai roastery.

How should I store my coffee?

Keep your beans in an airtight container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Don't refrigerate or freeze them. For the best flavor, use within 2–4 weeks of the roast date.

What is 1981 Espresso Bar Network?

1981 EBN is a network of six cafes across Chiang Mai, Thailand. We develop local leaders through the coffee industry — each cafe is independently operated by people we've trained and partnered with. When you buy our beans, you directly support this network.

Where are your cafes?

We have six locations across Chiang Mai: 1981 Espresso Bar Network (flagship), New Batch in Suthep, Someday, Someday To at Coconut Market, The Shepherd, and Matthew 5 Project (our roastery and coffee shop). Visit our Locations page for the full map and details.

How can I support the network?

The simplest way is to buy our coffee — every purchase supports the people behind the bar. If you'd like to get more involved, reach out through our Contact page. We'd love to hear from you.

Returns & Issues

What if my order arrives damaged?

Contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll make it right — either with a replacement or a refund. Please include a photo of the damaged product when you reach out.

Can I return or exchange coffee?

Because coffee is a perishable product, we can't accept returns on opened bags. If your bag is unopened and you contact us within 7 days, we'll work with you on an exchange or store credit.
